Costamare In. ("Costamare") collects, uses, stores and generally processes personal data in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
This Data Protection Notice contains information regarding the processing and safeguarding of personal data that you may submit via email.
What personal data we process
We only process the following information that you submit through the Email Alerts Form: email address. We may also process your first and last name, telephone, address, email address and professional information (organisation, title, occupation). Costamare will not collect or otherwise process any other personally identifiable information that you may include in the comments field of the Form.
Purpose and legal basis for the processing
Processing of your aforementioned personal data is made in order to assess your inquiries and eventual proposals, to establish and maintain communication regarding the issues and/or any other matter that you may bring to our attention as well as to keep you informed on our activities. The processing is necessary for the purposes of pursuing our legitimate interests, managing our business objectives and facilitating investment in Costamare.
In case we need to process any additional personal data for purposes other than the ones described above, we will notify you accordingly in advance.

Potential recipients of your personal data are: our IT systems providers, database providers and consultants.
Safeguarding and retention of your personal data
Your data remains with Costamare and we do not share them with any third party or other organization other than the ones mentioned under “Who we share this information with”.
We process your personal data in electronic form. In case you have requested to follow up our latest news, results and filings we will keep your email address on file until you advise us that you wish to unsubscribe. In the event that you have made a request or submitted a complaint we will keep your personal data for a period of three years or such longer period as required by our record retention policy. All relatedrecords are kept in a restricted area of our premises and we take all adequate technical and organizational measures, according to current technological standards in order to protect your data.
Your rights
You have the following rights under the GDPR:
1) Right of access to your personal data. In this context, you may ask as to confirm whether your personal data are processed and if so, to request all relevant information including the categories of personal data processed, the purposes and legal basis of such processing, the period for which the data will be stored etc;
2) Right to rectification i.e. right to obtain rectification of inaccurate personal data and/or to have incomplete personal data completed;
3) Right to erasure (‘right to be forgotten’) in case your data are no longer necessary for our processing purposes or in case of unlawful processing thereof or in case there is a legal obligation regarding their erasure;
4) Right to restriction of processing. You may exercise this right either on a provisional basis (e.g. while your application for rectification or erasure is pending) or in case your data should be erased, but you chose to have them kept for your own lawful purposes and without any further processing by Costamare;
5) Right to data portability i.e. right to receive your data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and have them transmitted to another organisation of your own choosing;
6) Right to object to the processing of your data, mainly in case they are used for direct marketing purposes.

This Data Protection Notice was updated in May 2025. In case of any future change to our processing activities and purposes, this Notice will be reviewed and updated accordingly.
